The fifth generation of Marí Mayans at the helm of the distillery announces news for its new Gourmet and Botanicals lines following the launch of salt and infusions from Ibiza

Two new brands for two new product lines that the heirs of Juan Marí Mayans, Carlos and Bartolomé Marí Mayans, the fifth generation at the helm of the company, plan to give a boost with new products. They are Marí Mayans Botanicals, an umbrella brand that has been launched with Ibizen infusions, and Marí Mayans Gourmet, with Ibiza Salt Flats sea salt and fleur de sel. So far, they are already exporting to Belgium and say they have commercial contacts with more interested countries. Both answer our questionnaire sent by La Voz de Ibiza.
-Infusions, salt … what will be the next product from Marí Mayans?
– Within our line of spirits, we are always thinking about trying to create new formats, innovations, new brands, and distillates. In fact, this summer we also launched our first tequila: Teqmex. In our new Botanicals and Gourmet branches, we have, so to speak, sown the seed for numerous ideas we have in mind for the medium term.
-I’m surprised by the move into the salt world, where there are already several operators selling Sea Salt and Fleur de Sel from the Ses Salines Natural Park, as it has little to do with your original business. Why?
– It is clear that the salt world is a very mature market. We try to enhance products and the primary sector of Ibiza with what, even though it is a sector with a small margin and market size, we are very proud to have reached an agreement with Salinera Española to have our own brand of Sea Salt and Fleur
