What is IBZ Pink Strawberry?
Producers of liqueurs and distillates for over 130 years, the Marí Mayans family began around 2010 to research and test different combinations of botanicals, fruits, and aromatics for the production of their own Premium Gin. It had to be a 100% Ibiza flavor housed in a screen-printed, attractive, and high-quality bottle.
Gin is a very well-known drink within the Marí Mayans family, as they have been producing it for over 50 years. The idea was to take a step forward and completely stand out within the gin boom that had been happening for several years.
Thus, after numerous tastings and tests, the sought-after balance was achieved, launching in 2020 IBZ Pink Strawberry.
Handcrafting process since 1880
With the purest cereal alcohol, juniper berries are distilled in copper stills, and a touch of thyme flowers, fresh rosemary leaves, and citrus peels is added to achieve a marked Mediterranean, Ibicenco character, characteristic of the unique quality of the plants of Ibiza.
The entire process, from the selection of plants and fruits, distillation of the same, and bottling is carried out at the Marí Mayans Family Distillery located in Ibiza – Montecristo. The production is artisanal, verified, and meticulously reviewed by the agri-food quality department of the distillery.
