Family Marí Mayans, will participate from April 15 to 17 in the ProWine Tokyo 2026, one of the most relevant international wine and spirits fairs in the Asian market
The Ibizan company Familia Marí Mayans is visiting Japan this week to participate, from April 15 to 17, in ProWine Tokyo 2026, one of the most relevant international wine and spirits fairs in the Asian market, part of the renowned Anuga brand. At this event, which will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center located in Tokyo, this company will present its Hierbas Ibicencas Familia Marí Mayans, recognized with the Spain Food Award as ‘Best spirit with Geographical Indication 2025’ awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

The Ibizan company renowned for the production of liqueurs will present this recognized traditional distillate, which is one of its most emblematic creations, at the Spain Pavilion organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Japan. An event where Familia Marí Mayans will act as the ambassador of the island, conveying the originality of the authentic Hierbas Ibicencas that it produces entirely in Ibiza with artisanal recipes dating back to 1880 and demonstrating that Ibizan tradition has a universal language capable of competing in the world’s most demanding markets.
“Attending ProWine Tokyo 2026 is a great opportunity to continue positioning ourselves and growing in a country that reveres the culture of detail and artisanal craftsmanship, something particularly relevant for a company like ours that has over a century of history in which we have not only managed to protect the traditional recipes of the island, combining local botanicals with artisanal distillation processes but also evolved to create world-renowned liqueurs and position them in the market,” assure the promoters and fifth generation of Familia Marí Mayans, Bartolomé and Carlos Marí Mayans.

This Ibizan company, which recently participated in Alimentaria Barcelona to great acclaim, is attending this international fair aimed at professionals with the goal of reinforcing the presence of its brand in the Japanese and Asian market. Thus, during this event, this family company, which is already distributed in the Land of the Rising Sun, will work alongside its importer in Japan to establish new business contacts, identify potential distributors, and expand its marketing network in the region. With this initiative, Familia Marí Mayans aims to continue promoting its internationalization and bring the flavors and tradition of Ibiza closer to the Asian public, sharing the essence of the island and fostering cultural exchange.
