The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, emphasized that men and women in the agri-food sector represent the best of our society
On Wednesday afternoon, the Marimaya family received the ‘Best Spirited Drink with Geographical Indication 2025’ award for their protected geographical indication (PGI) Marimaya, at the XXXVII edition of the Food Awards in Spain, held at the Royal Theatre of Madrid and presided over by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas.
One of the Marimaya family managers, Bartolomé Marimaya, picked up the award from the Secretary General of Agricultural Resources and Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Ana Rodríguez.

At this event, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, emphasized that men and women in the agri-food sector represent the best of our society: effort, innovation, and sustainability. That is why, “the Spain Food Awards are an award to the agri-food excellence of our producers”.
